About The Position
Universal Metal Recycling is seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual for the position of Scrap Metal Processor at our metals recycling facility located at 720 New Haven Avenue, Aurora, IL. This full-time role involves various responsibilities related to the processing of scrap metal, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be involved in grading scrap metal products, operating baling machinery to compact aluminum scrap, and using floor scales to weigh, report, and transfer products. Additionally, the role includes loading shipping containers with finished products, utilizing a forklift when necessary, and sorting, preparing, and grading scrap metal products to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards. The Scrap Metal Processor will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring that all equipment is operated correctly. This position requires a proactive approach to work, as well as the ability to collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
