About The Position

Earn ~$23/hr ($15 + tips) Salt & Straw is expanding to Texas! 🍦 We’re hiring Scoopers to help bring Salt & Straw to Texas for the very first time. What Scoopers Do Scoopers create happiness through moments of wonder—one scoop at a time. You will: Welcome every guest with warmth, curiosity, and genuine hospitality from start to finish Guide guests through our flavors by offering samples and sharing the stories behind each one Scoop ice cream to shop standards, creating the perfect portion every time Operate the register and accurately handle transactions, including cash Support daily shop operations: scooping, waffling cones, dishwashing, cleaning, and restocking Prepare waffle cones, maintain a clean waffle station, and follow food safety standards Keep the shop stocked by replenishing retail items, cones, and supplies Pack Third-Party Delivery orders with accuracy and care Answer phones and assist guests with questions about flavors, products, and ordering options Maintain cleanliness across the shop, including floors, surfaces, bathrooms, and freezers Taste flavors regularly to confidently share recommendations with guests Work as part of a team to create a positive, high-energy shop environment What You’ll Get We offer competitive pay, thoughtful benefits, and a people-first culture that invests in your growth.

Requirements

• Have a high school diploma/GED
• Are 16+ and can work evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Can obtain a food handler’s card within 30 days
• Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Love delivering outstanding guest experiences and sharing our flavors

• Bring experience in food service, hospitality, or a guest-focused environment (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Keep the shop stocked by replenishing retail items, cones, and supplies
• Pack Third-Party Delivery orders with accuracy and care

• Pay: $15/hr base pay + pooled tips, which typically average $8–$9/hr (Based on historical shop performance—actual tips may vary)
