USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments. Architecture and Engineering support: Provides systems engineering and architecture support for AFNWC. Provides comprehensive systems and network engineering and architectural planning services. Interfaces with O&S personnel by providing strategic design and support to projects, as directed. Reviews existing architectures on a regular basis, recommending and assisting with the design and implementation of systems and network improvements as required. Responsible for planning, solutioning, and improvement of AFWNC capabilities with a specific focus on cybersecurity and the implementation and design of the application layer.

  • Provide systems engineering and architecture support for AFNWC.
  • Provide comprehensive systems and network engineering and architectural planning services.
  • Interface with O&S personnel by providing strategic design and support to projects.
  • Review existing architectures regularly, recommending and assisting with design and implementation of systems and network improvements.
  • Plan, solution, and improve AFWNC capabilities with a focus on cybersecurity and application layer design.
  • 15+ years of related experience.
  • Deep knowledge in Model-Based Systems Engineering.
  • Experience in DevSecOps skill areas including collaboration services, cybersecurity, enterprise infrastructure, network technologies, and cloud technologies.
  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Must be willing to obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
  • DoD 8140 qualified certification.
  • Ability to obtain ITIL 4 Foundation – ITSM Certification within the first 9 months.
  • Certification in modeling, e.g. OCSMP (OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional).
  • Experience modeling complex systems for Department of Defense or other government organizations.
  • Preferred certifications: ITIL 4 Foundation, Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), TOGAF Certified Architect, ITIL 4 Managing Professional, Lean Six Sigma Green belt, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified Azure Network Engineer Associate.
