WWC Engineering: Our Story WWC Engineering (WWC) is a multi-disciplinary, professional firm specializing in Civil/Site, Environmental, Land Development, Mining, Municipal, NEPA, Oil & Gas, Planning, Roads/Bridges, Surveying, Water/Wastewater and Water Resources services. Our environmental team provide environmental assessment and monitoring, geotechnical investigations & modeling, NEPA and municipal landfill design and permitting. WWC has over 140 employees in in 6 branch offices and has been serving the Rocky Mountain region since 1980. Our client focus is to provide innovation, quality and service to every project. Are you interested in role? The Scientist will conduct research and develop plans to complete studies, permits and other documents. You will assist with planning document preparation, historical research, data collection, site characterization, data analysis, alternatives evaluation, and technical report preparation.

Requirements

  • To succeed as a Scientist at WWC Engineering, you will need the ability to plan, schedule work and manage established budgets and timelines.
  • Have extensive knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations.
  • Knowledge of computer modeling and GIS is needed.
  • High level or skills with Microsoft suite.
  • This position will involve some travel (using WWC vehicles) and requires a valid driver's license and that you are able to be covered by WWC's vehicle insurance.
  • This position requires passing a pre-employment drug & alcohol test.

Responsibilities

  • Outline and plan data collection methods and reference documents to be used as appropriate to the project.
  • Act as a specialist or consultant in a particular area of science.
  • Analyze water quality, water level/stage, and water quantity data.
  • May perform field observations and data collection.
  • Review and studies applicable technical standards, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Provide guidance to governmental agencies, industries, or the public.
  • Understand regulations and can advise internal and external clients.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies for approvals and attend meetings on behalf of clients.
  • High level of report writing skills.
  • Prepare oral briefings, documents, workshops, training sessions, or public hearings to communicate scientific and technical information.
  • Assist with developing pricing, estimating, scoping and marketing strategies for proposed projects.
  • Assist with marketing / business development, proposal preparation, proposal interviews/presentations, develops, fosters, and maintains strong relationships with present and potential clients
  • Provide technical guidance to a group of less experienced staff.
