The lab of Jeremy Chase Crawford in the Department of Host-Microbe Interactions is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Research Scientist to develop and implement novel technical approaches for assaying cellular immune responses to vaccination. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and detail-oriented with interests in integrative biology, human immune variation, and molecular assay development. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required. Success in this position also requires: the ability to multi-task, the ability to collaborate effectively, and working in tandem with multiple members of a culturally and scientifically diverse team to achieve assigned research objectives. Candidates with experience in the following areas are especially encouraged to apply: Development and optimization of next-generation sequencing-based assays Experience with lymphocyte receptor sequencing/genotyping Experience working with primary human samples Experience with cell culture Immunology, microbiology, or host-microbe interactions Large cross-field collaborations using human samples
