About The Position
In this vital role, you will be part of the Molecular Analytics group at Amgen, providing scientific and technical expertise to support early discovery research through to later stage molecule optimization and late-stage selection of drug candidates. This position is an exciting opportunity to unlock the potential of biology for patients suffering from serious illnesses by discovering, developing, manufacturing, and delivering innovative human therapeutics. The ideal candidate will have experience using analytical characterization techniques such as RPLC-MS for intact protein, reduced and subunit protein mass analysis. Additionally, experience with high-throughput mass spectrometry techniques like Rapidfire-MS is a plus. You will be responsible for protein digestion and RPLC-MS/MS to map and characterize post-translational modifications such as deamidation, isomerization, and oxidation, along with associated data processing. The role requires generating, processing, and utilizing large LC-MS analytical data sets, and familiarity with both ESI and MALDI techniques would be beneficial. Effective communication of scientific concepts and results, both verbally and in writing, is essential. You will work independently to advance projects and studies within required deadlines while following established protocols and procedures, maintaining accurate records in an electronic lab notebook.
