About The Position

The Scientist in the NA R&D Biscuit team at Mondelēz International is responsible for driving product development and innovation in the snack food sector. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute RDQ activities, conduct trials, and ensure product specifications meet consumer expectations. The position emphasizes technical expertise in food science, effective communication, and problem-solving skills to support the development of new products and improvements to existing ones.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in product development within the food industry.
• Strong technical expertise in Sweet and/or Savory technology and formulation.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including technical writing.
• Experience in managing activities and prioritizing tasks independently.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Power BI and other digital tools for reporting and analysis.
• Familiarity with consumer testing and product shelf-life testing.
• Understanding of regulatory, quality, and safety constraints in food production.

Responsibilities

• Organize and execute RDQ activities for new product development and portfolio maintenance.
• Plan and conduct pilot plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practices and HACCP requirements.
• Write technical reports analyzing results and leading to conclusions and recommendations.
• Create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional partners including commercial, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
• Identify and implement solutions to problems independently while seeking guidance when necessary.
• Manage multiple innovation initiatives and adapt to consumer and project demands.
