Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience in a relevant scientific field or significant relevant experience and knowledge of Cellular Therapy, Immunology, and Immune-mediated Diseases from working in the life science sector.
  • In vivo skillset including animal handling, mouse tumor models, standard routes of dosing and engraftment
  • Experience in developing cellular therapies including CAR-T, TCR-T, and/ or TIL therapies
  • Proficiency in transfection/transduction, expansion, and cell culture of primary human /mouse T cells and cell lines
  • Hands-on expertise in T-cell functional characterization assays such as in vitro cytotoxicity, proliferation, cytokine measurement
  • Proficiency with multi-parameter flow cytometry (Immunostaining, acquisition, and analysis)

  • Background in drug discovery and development in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Advanced degree in related field

Responsibilities

  • Conducts hands-on drug discovery research experiments
  • Works collaboratively in a matrix and fast-paced environment
  • Assesses and reports data with a clear understanding of its implications within the overall context of drug discovery
  • Maintains a proven understanding of approaches to drug discovery and applies a broader functional knowledge of the procedures used by diverse project groups to support the department where needed
  • Provides technical instruction to the team and allocates administrative work where possible
  • Ensures own work, and work of peers, is compliant with relevant internal AstraZeneca standards and external regulations
