About the position
This job is for a Scientist at Scribe Therapeutics, a molecular engineering company focused on developing in vivo therapies using CRISPR technology. The candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing CRISPR gene-editing systems, as well as developing and executing screening assays for assessing the characteristics of CRISPR delivery constructs. They will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external partners to advance nucleic acid drug components. The role offers opportunities for professional growth, including the potential for leadership roles and the ability to publish impactful work in peer-reviewed journals.
Responsibilities
Requirements
- PhD in Virology, Cell or Molecular Biology, Neuroscience or related discipline
- At least 2 years of experience working in an industry lab
- Proven track record of expertise in molecular biology, protein engineering, and pooled screening
- Advanced expertise in the latest molecular and cellular biology techniques
- Knowledge of AAV biology and/or mRNA delivery systems
- Experience with CRISPR-Cas gene editing systems
- Expertise in use of mammalian cell reporter systems, screening in human cells, and readout by FACS and NGS analysis
