Requirements

  • BS degree with a minimum of 3 years validated experience in Biology/Molecular Biology or MS degree with a minimum of 1 year validated experience.
  • Experience in basic chemistry and molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid extractions, quantitation, PCR, and reagent preparation.
  • Validated knowledge of next-generation sequencing as evidenced by publication history or confirmed experience.
  • In-depth understanding of genomics and cancer biology.
  • Effective communication skills for conveying scientific results and collaborating in a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in IVD product development.
  • Familiarity with regulatory feedback or mentorship documents to support study designs.
  • Experience with automated platforms such as Genexus, KingFisher, or similar, and liquid handlers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform experiments to improve and develop nucleic acid purification reagents and automated workflows for various sample types including whole blood, plasma, FFPE, and urine.
  • Conduct laboratory bench work focusing on sample preparation and sequencing to support the development of targeted sequencing assays.
  • Participate in analytical and clinical validation phases of product development.
  • Engage in experimental design, basic data analysis, interpretation, and data summarization to guide product development.
  • Prioritize daily activities to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including bioinformatics, engineering, product management, manufacturing, and regulatory affairs.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed lab notebooks and documentation.
  • Support on-market product and manufacturing troubleshooting with a customer-first approach.
  • Follow ISO 9001 and 13485 requirements.
