About The Position
Join our ambitious Gibco Bioproduction Analytics Team at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., focusing on the design and commercialization of new cell culture media and media supplement products. Your work will make a significant impact on health, safety, and scientific advancements! A Day in the Life: Analyze cell culture media samples autonomously or with limited mentorship. Perform analytical assays on MassSpec instrumentation focusing on small molecules and metabolomics. Participate in analytical method development, optimization, and validation. Keys to Success: Proven ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain analytical instrumentation. Initiative to engage in process improvement projects. Strong communication skills to regularly update managers and teams.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Biology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, or related field.
- B.S. degree or equivalent experience with 2+ years of industry experience
- Functional knowledge of laboratory equipment and techniques.
- Experience with chromatography techniques such as HPLC/UHPLC and LC-MS technology.
- Experience with processing untargeted and targeted MassSpec data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Nice To Haves
- M.S. degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Preferred experience with Thermo Scientific TSQ and/or Orbitrap MassSpec series instrumentation.
Responsibilities
