About The Position

Perform analytical assays on MassSpec instrumentation focusing on small molecules and metabolomics. Participate in analytical method development, optimization, and validation. Keys to Success: Proven ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain analytical instrumentation. Initiative to engage in process improvement projects. Strong communication skills to regularly update managers and teams.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Biology, Bioengineering, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • B.S. degree or equivalent experience with 2+ years of industry experience
  • Functional knowledge of laboratory equipment and techniques.
  • Experience with chromatography techniques such as HPLC/UHPLC and LC-MS technology.
  • Experience with processing untargeted and targeted MassSpec data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • M.S. degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Preferred experience with Thermo Scientific TSQ and/or Orbitrap MassSpec series instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze cell culture media samples autonomously or with limited mentorship.
  • Perform analytical assays on MassSpec instrumentation focusing on small molecules and metabolomics.
