Conducts molecular biology to advance clinical lab operations by designing, developing, and validating new assays in molecular genetics and oncology. Supports translating innovative technologies into compliant testing solutions and drives continuous improvement. Works closely with R&D, Medical Directorship, Technical Operations, and Clinical teams to ensure assays are clinically actionable. Evaluates and implements new technologies and methodologies. Researches, organizes and implements new assays and methodologies as well as improves current testing. Writes technical procedures for transition into the clinical lab. This position functions with more autonomy than Associate Scientist. Reports to the R&D Scientific Manager under Medical Directorship oversight. Position may be Scientist I or II, based on qualifications.
