The Scientist I will contribute to the design, execution, and analysis of experiments that support research & development of new membranes to meet customer application needs. This role will support the development of new membrane designs, enhance existing processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies. This position reports to the Director, R&D and is part of the Filtration R&D team located in Pensacola, FL and will be an on-site role.

  • Design and execute experiments to support development of new membranes, materials, metrology, and/or processes under the guidance of senior scientists.
  • Support pilot and full-scale test runs by preparing formulations, operating equipment, and collecting/analyzing data.
  • Collect, analyze and interpret data using standard statistical and data analysis software.
  • Clearly document and communicate results through reports or presentations to project team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Some experience in a research or laboratory setting (academic, internship, or industrial).
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical results to audiences with diverse backgrounds.
  • The desire and ability to thrive in an interdisciplinary, fast-paced team environment with adaptability and openness to learning.
  • Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DOE)
  • Familiarity with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
