About The Position

Entegris is currently seeking a n R&D Scientist I to join our Research and Development team at our San Luis Obispo, California location. The Research Scientist will provide support for gas purification technology, located at our San Luis Obispo, CA location. This position will contribute to next-generation technology development and applications-based activities of the R&D team through hands-on experimentation, using state-of-the-art gas-phase analytical instrumentation (GC, FT-IR, APIMS, CRDS, etc.), as well as characterization tools such as porosimetry , thermogravimetry, and diffraction.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or similar scientific degree .
• U niversity lab experience using analytical equipment and data acquisition .
• Ability to clearly communicate technical information and ideas to internal audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication .
• Good recordkeeping (lab notebook, written test plans and reports

Responsibilities

• Maintain and execute defined research projects.
• Communicate results through written reports and oral presentations.
• Analyze and interpret test data, maintain documentation of test operation, and ensure data quality and integrity.
• R eview and follow test plans , work instructions, and other technical documents as .
• Provide management with weekly progress updates.
• Collaborate with and support other internal R&D and functional groups as needed.

• Any other duties as assigned.
