About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Immunology, Life Sciences or related discipline with 6+ years of experience in immune-related assays and molecular biology techniques, or MS in related discipline with 4+ to 6 years of experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in a wide range of immune assays and cellular techniques, including mammalian cell culture and multicolor flow cytometry.
  • Experience with a broad variety of molecular biology and analytical techniques.
  • Mastery of aseptic technique and familiarity with BSL2 safety practices.
  • Ability to perform experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of results.
  • Proficiency with personal computers, including Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant scientific software.
  • Strong motivation to learn new skills and adapt to challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of T cell biology with expertise in T cell-based functional assays.
  • Hands-on experience with NGS assay development and sequencing.
  • Pharmaceutical and biotech experience.
  • Experience working in a cGLP-compliant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preclinical evaluation and early clinical development of candidate vaccines.
  • Develop and perform various assays to monitor cellular immune responses using flow cytometry and cytokine detection assays.
  • Conduct RNA/DNA isolation from primary cells, cell lines, and tissue samples.
  • Perform multi-color flow cytometry staining and analyze flow cytometry data.
  • Execute ELISpot/FluoroSpot-based assays to measure immune responses to vaccine candidates.
  • Maintain suspension and adherent cell lines and design experiments to address research questions.
  • Prepare samples for next-generation sequencing (NGS) to characterize immune transcriptional signatures.
  • Document experiments in an electronic notebook and contribute to drafting protocols and reports.
  • Manage timelines and deliverables for various projects and assist in sourcing laboratory reagents.
