About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Scientist to join our Monoclonal Antibody Research team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the downstream processes development for the production of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies. This position requires a strong background in recombinant protein production and purification as well as knowledge of protein quality assessment. The candidate will be responsible for conducting the laboratory studies for the development of new or improved veterinary monoclonal antibody products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in recombinant protein purification.
  • Hands-on experience with chromatography techniques and other protein purification methods.
  • Proficiency in using laboratory software and data analysis tools related to downstream unit operation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

  • Working in a related industrial setting.
  • Knowledge and experience with different recombinant protein expression system at industry scale.
  • Experience in the downstream process development for therapeutic monoclonal antibodies produced from commercial CHO cell line.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in design and execution of research geared toward developing downstream processes for the purification of therapeutic proteins and monoclonal antibodies.
  • Perform recombinant protein production and purification using various chromatography techniques (e.g., affinity, ion exchange, size exclusion).
  • Perform standard laboratory work and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Document experimental procedures, results, and conclusions in laboratory notebooks and technical reports.
  • Present findings and updates to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other team members for quality assessment of purified proteins and support the downstream needs of other team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams outside of the group.
