We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated automation scientist to join the Quantitative Biosciences Automation and Engineering group at our Company. Successful candidates will become part of a creative and flexible team that utilizes cutting-edge automation and science to support the discovery and interrogation of novel medicines across different modalities and therapeutic areas. Successful candidates will focus on establishing, optimizing, and evaluating advanced in vitro models within the area(s) of infectious disease/vaccines, neuroscience, complex translational models, cardiovascular and/or metabolomic discipline(s). Candidates for the position must support parallel projects and multi-task daily.

  • Establish, optimize, and evaluate advanced in vitro models.
  • Support parallel projects and multi-task daily.
  • Design experiments, analyze, interpret and track results.
  • Transfer manual assays onto automated platforms.
  • Participate in preparation of patents on novel methodologies and manuscripts for publication.
  • Bachelor's degree in the Life Sciences with a minimum of 2 years of experience in laboratory research in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry OR Master's degree in the Life Sciences with a minimum of 1 year of experience in laboratory research in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry.
  • Experience with automated liquid handlers, detectors, and robots.
  • Experience with techniques such as Primary, Mammalian, Bacterial, and/or Viral cell culture.
  • Experience in automated assay execution and data analysis.
  • Experience in assay development, optimization, and translation to automation.
  • Proficiency in ELISA, Luminex, neutralizing antibody titers, and other immunoassays.
  • Familiarity with GraphPad Prism, Microsoft Office, ActivityBase, and electronic lab notebook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow established protocols and design new protocols and experiments.
