About The Position

As a Scientist in Antibody Discovery & Engineering at Pfizer, you will play a crucial role in the Worldwide Research and Development team, focusing on identifying cancer targets and developing innovative oncology therapeutics. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree + 6 years laboratory research experience or Master's degree + 4 years laboratory research experience in molecular and cellular biology or related subject.
  • Proficiency in culturing multiple cell lines under BSL2/BSL2+ conditions.
  • Experience with cell engineering technologies, including transient transfection, lentiviral transduction, and CRISPR.
  • Strong molecular biology skills, including primer design, PCR, plasmid generation, and NGS library preparation.
  • Familiarity with sequence analysis tools and online bioinformatics databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in quantitative flow cytometry.
  • Experience coding in Python, R, or other programming languages.
  • Understanding of antibody biology and antibody drug conjugates (ADCs).
  • Familiarity with Oxford Nanopore sequencing and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to cell engineering and antibody discovery for novel biotherapeutics.
  • Perform extensive molecular biology, tissue culture, and cell biology benchwork.
  • Conduct vector engineering, PCR, cloning, and assay development.
  • Analyze molecular data related to cancer targets and antibody sequencing.
  • Mentor team members and influence project team dynamics.
  • Evaluate data and provide clear reports for cross-functional teams.
