As the Scientific Trade Compliance Expert - Hybrid in the US Product Compliance Organization, you will engage in functions related to import/export/domestic trade compliance with an emphasis on technical trade classifications and analysis. In this role, you will also drive continuous process improvements aimed at the execution of best-in-class performance in Trade Compliance. Responsible for maintaining compliance with requirements of the FDA, USDA, EPA, DEA, ATTB, CDC and any other applicable regulatory agencies as they relate to export, import, and the domestic movement of materials. Monitor and review the US Export / Import Regulations with respect to the determination of product classifications within the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and Commerce Control List. Participate in compliance audits/assessments, review corrective actions, and evaluate site compliance including respective agency registrations. Assign all Technical Trade classifications for products (e.g. HTS, ECCN, Country of Origin etc.) and respond to inquiries on an as needed basis. Hybrid position in Temecula, St. Louis or Milwaukee

  • Maintaining compliance with requirements of the FDA, USDA, EPA, DEA, ATTB, CDC and any other applicable regulatory agencies as they relate to export, import, and the domestic movement of materials.
  • Monitor and review the US Export / Import Regulations with respect to the determination of product classifications within the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and Commerce Control List.
  • Participate in compliance audits/assessments, review corrective actions, and evaluate site compliance including respective agency registrations.
  • Assign all Technical Trade classifications for products (e.g. HTS, ECCN, Country of Origin etc.) and respond to inquiries on an as needed basis.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Scientific field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc.) or Engineering field (e.g., Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.)
  • Work experience in areas of Trade Compliance, including high capabilities in import and export compliance, USDA, FDA, DEA, CDC and other governmental agency regulations and their respective classification systems.
  • Well versed in PC based systems and software related to document preparation (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, or similar programs) and enterprise systems including SAP and Oracle.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the U.S. Export Administration Regulations and U.S. Customs Regulations, import/export documentation and recordkeeping.
