Currently, we are looking to add a Scientific Technical Information Specialist to our team:

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in life science or library and information science preferred
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Experience with database systems required; InDesign or other desktop publishing software preferred; SharePoint and Endnote experience preferred
  • Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and ability to work independently
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and assist in other job duties desired

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain product information across the company database and website
  • Create electronic product information sheets for Cayman's catalog of compounds
  • Develop product sizes and pricing based on established guidelines
  • Search for chemical compound information using various databases
  • Track product status and maintain product archives via Sharepoint
  • Proof all marketing and product documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Search, obtain, and export scientific journal articles and patents using EndNote for research staff
  • Work with laboratory staff to document and maintain scientific lab notebooks
