About The Position

We are seeking a highly accomplished and creative scientific leader to lead the BMS Oncology ADC Discovery team and oversee the preclinical ADC portfolio. In this role, you will shape the overall Oncology ADC strategy by providing scientific and strategic insight and influencing key investment decisions. You will lead a growing internal ADC discovery portfolio and cultivate external partnerships to drive innovation—all with the goal of advancing next generation ADCs into the clinic. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree 15+ years of academic / industry experience
  • Master's Degree 12+ years of academic / industry experience
  • PhD 10+ years of academic / industry experience
  • 8+ years of leadership experience

  • Extensive experience in ADC discovery, with a deep understanding of ADC technologies spanning both cytotoxic and novel payload classes along with expertise in conjugation and linker strategies.
  • Experience developing and managing an ADC portfolio that spans early target discovery through delivery of clinical candidates.
  • Extensive experience building and leading high performing, highly collaborative teams dedicated to advancing innovative ADCs into clinical development.
  • Excellent strategic thinking skills, consistently weighing risk, benefit, and tradeoffs to guide sound decision making.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex scientific concepts to a broad range of internal and external audiences.

  • Experience applying AI to streamline ADC discovery and enhance decision making processes.
  • Extensive experience working with external partnerships and internal capabilities to successfully deliver portfolio objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the BMS Oncology ADC strategy and portfolio, guiding programs from target concept through development candidate and into the clinic.
  • Partner closely with key internal stakeholders—including leaders in Research, Development, and Commercial—to ensure alignment and effective execution.
  • Build and maintain external collaborations that strengthen and differentiate the ADC portfolio.
  • Serve as a credible and influential spokesperson and subject matter expert for ADC discovery, shaping both internal and external investment decisions.
  • Work across the organization to align strategy and ensure timely advancement of innovative ADC programs into clinical development.
  • Make informed decisions that enable the ADC team to deliver on its objectives and meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and responsible innovation.
  • Communicate effectively and engage collaboratively using strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
