About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a communications-related field.
  • Minimum of three years of specialized experience.

  • Experience in a team lead role is highly preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience in writing scientific/technical content.
  • Ability to communicate scientific ideas to the general public.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present comprehensive program reviews with recommendations on program effectiveness.
  • Assist with projects involving internal and external organizations.
  • Collect and compile qualitative and quantitative data for program decisions.
  • Research and prepare responses to inquiries, including Congressional briefing materials.
  • Interpret administrative policies and provide advice to management.
  • Assist in the design and production of publications and marketing materials.
  • Provide video and animation services, including concept development and post-production.
  • Manage content for digital signage and public relations needs.
  • Review programs and explore new communication methods to increase efficiency.
  • Conduct evaluations to measure the success of communication plans and programs.
  • Collaborate with NIAID Divisions to enhance communication strategies.
  • Coordinate VRC communication functions with IT staff and assess IT applications.
  • Perform quality control assessments on written responses and documents.
  • Act as an information resource for health communications specialists.
