The role As a Scientific Lead at Amiculum, you will play a pivotal role in leading scientific excellence, shaping strategic direction and supporting both clients and internal teams. The role requires a blend of scientific expertise, commercial awareness, inspirational leadership and a commitment to high-quality delivery in alignment with business priorities. You will work collaboratively across the business to promote best practices, drive innovation and contribute to Amiculum’s ongoing growth and success.

Requirements

  • Strong scientific expertise and experience in medical communications and across multiple accounts
  • Demonstrated leadership, line management and people development skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to contribute to financial planning
  • Ability to anticipate challenges, apply sound judgement and provide strategic, solutions-focused input
  • Comfort with emerging technologies and an enthusiasm for emerging technologies and advancing innovative solutions

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Client Partnership Team (CPT) lead (and commercial lead) to ensure CPT activities align with Amiculum’s strategy, financial goals and culture to support efficient, sustainable and coordinated operations across teams and regions
  • Lead and inspire the CPT scientific team by overseeing day-to-day scientific operations, proactively driving team performance and development, ensuring alignment with business priorities and fostering strategic dialogue with clients
  • Represent the CPT in cross-Amiculum discussions between scientific peers, contributing to agile resourcing discussions, providing inspiration and sharing best practice
  • Act as a key contact for senior clients, addressing feedback to ensure client satisfaction and strong account performance
  • Support account teams by providing strategic and scientific guidance to help respond to client needs and drive effective delivery
  • Promote collaboration and operational alignment between scientific and commercial teams to enable seamless cross-functional delivery
  • Champion a healthy feedback culture, personal development and process improvement
  • Exemplify Amiculum’s culture and values
  • Partner with the CPT commercial lead to monitor the CPT's financial performance and support sustainable accounts
  • Guide teams on linking project scope, time tracking and financial outcomes
  • Work with the CPT commercial lead to manage team resourcing, anticipating changes in workload to ensure proactive resourcing, including contributing to agile resourcing discussions and recruitment decisions
  • Build networks and share best practices across Amiculum
  • Provide line management and mentor experienced team members
  • Foster a positive, growth-oriented environment
  • Strengthen cross‑region collaboration by encouraging shared objectives, open communication and cohesive ways of working to support a unified Amiculum culture
  • Partner with the CPT commercial lead to drive account strategies and explore business opportunities
  • Support the integration of new technologies to boost quality and efficiency
