About The Position

The Scientific Communications Lead position at Roche is a 12-month fixed-term role based in Tucson, AZ, with the possibility of extension. This role is part of the Clinical Development & Medical Affairs department within Roche Diagnostics Solutions. Requirements

  • Master's or PhD/PharmD degree preferred in Biomedical Sciences, focus oncology.
  • Medical communications or publications management experience.
  • Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good knowledge of Good Publication Practice and ICMJE guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous work experience in medical or scientific communications.
  • Experience in the field of oncology; diagnostics experience advantageous.
  • Experience with publication management, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Understanding of diagnostics industry and regulatory guidelines.
  • CMPP certification is an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of publication management tools.
  • Proven leadership skills and creativity.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic ability, attention to detail, and strong sense of responsibility.
  • Great communication and people skills.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and collaborate with external pharmaceutical partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Define scientific communications strategy based on collaboration terms.
  • Plan and drive scientific communication activities, including publications.
  • Establish Publication Plans with pharmaceutical partners with cross-functional input.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration efforts with scientific communications.
  • Organize and lead meetings, develop content decks for collaboration.
  • Manage the publication development process, including review and tracking of publications.
  • Ensure internal communications around published and presented publications.
  • Engage with external health care professionals and medical communication agencies.
  • Effectively manage and maximize available resources.
  • Engage with medical experts and internal stakeholders to provide scientific input.
  • Participate in company educational events for HCPs.
