Sciences Affiliate/Part-Time Instructor
About The Position
The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences ( EAS ) at the Metropolitan State University of Denver is seeking affiliate faculty (Category III ) to teach courses in SCI 2610, Integrated Physical and Chemical Sciences, and/or SCI 2600, Integrated Biology and Earth Science. Qualified applicants will be placed in the departmental pool and will be considered for affiliate/part-time departmental needs. The University is particularly interested in applicants who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for under-represented groups. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and/or any EAS related discipline.
Nice To Haves
- Doctorate and teaching experience.
- Experience working with and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse urban student population including (but not limited to) students of color, LBGTQIA students, students from low-income backgrounds, first-generation students, students with disabilities, undocumented students, non-traditional students, student veterans, and English language learners.
