Shawsheen Valley Technical High School is seeking an experienced Science Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Candidate must possess either a 9-12 Chemistry, 9-12 General Science, or 9-12 Physics license, from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education and hold a valid SEI endorsement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in science instruction and experience working with students of diverse abilities. Dual licensure in multiple science areas and/or Special Education is preferred. Experience in a vocational high school setting is a plus Job Duties Include (but are not limited to): Delivering high-quality, standards-aligned science curriculum. Instructing students with engaging lessons that integrate real-world scientific applications and laboratory investigations, in a safe and organized learning environment. Assessing student performance, maintaining accurate records, and providing timely, constructive feedback to support academic growth. Supervising students during laboratory activities, ensuring proper use of scientific equipment, technology, and materials, and ensuring adherence to all lab safety protocols. Collaborating with colleagues to support student learning and continuous program improvement. Participating in department meetings, school-wide initiatives, and relevant professional development to remain current in scientific knowledge and instructional practices. Supporting students in developing scientific literacy, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and preparedness for postsecondary pathways, including STEM-related fields.
