About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will deliver personalized science instruction to K–12 students enrolled in an online curriculum through small-group and individualized support. This role requires the ability to tutor across all K–12 science subjects, with a strong emphasis on Physics and Chemistry, and to ensure students achieve true understanding and mastery. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a small team of educators to tailor instruction to the unique academic and athletic needs of our student-athletes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (required)
Valid teaching certification/license in Science or the ability to obtain certification
Proven experience teaching Science to K–12 students, with demonstrated ability to tutor across all K–12 science subjects, including Physics and Chemistry
Strong communication, organization, and classroom/group management skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic academic environment
Passion for working with student-athletes and understanding their unique academic and athletic demands
Ability to work on-site, in person, with consistency and reliability

Nice To Haves

Candidates who have taught Advanced Placement (AP) courses and demonstrate a strong track record of a high percentage of students scoring 3 or higher on AP exams will be strongly considered

Responsibilities

Deliver personalized science instruction across all K–12 science subjects, with particular focus on Physics and Chemistry
Provide small-group and one-on-one tutoring to ensure students fully understand and can apply scientific concepts
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student learning needs
Monitor and assess student progress, providing ongoing feedback and adapting instruction as needed
Do everything possible to help students succeed in science—coach, reteach, reinforce concepts, and support mastery
Collaborate closely with other teachers and staff to support an integrated academic-athletic environment
Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and academic performance
Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding progress, goals, and academic concerns
Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in science instruction and educational technology
