Science Summer Camp Jr. Counselor
About The Position
Club SciKidz MD offers science and technology summer camps for children ages 4-15 years in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Howard, and Montgomery counties. We are hiring Jr. Counselors to work in our camps in our Howard County locations . The Jr. Counselor position is for high school graduating seniors and students at least 16 years of age. Our day camps run Monday-Friday, and staff are scheduled by the week. We ask for a commitment of at least 4 weeks. Staff hours are approximately 8:15am-4:15pm and one before and after care a week. Pay for Jr. Counselors ranges between $460-$470 a week and is dependent on their grade in school and experience working with kids. We are looking for folks who: Enjoy working with children Want to gain more experience working with children Want to help children learn and have a fun science & technology camp experience Are reliable & hard working; have reliable transportation Can commit to work at least four weeks between June 8th - August 21st. Daily responsibilities include: Supervising campers Helping counselors & instructors implement the lessons and activities Helping keep kids engaged, while maintaining a safe environment Have fun with what you are doing Being on time every day for your required shifts (you are scheduled by the week, so you work a whole week (Monday-Friday) for the weeks you are scheduled) Working with other staff to provide an excellent camp experience Why work for Club SciKidz this summer?
