About The Position

In-person academic Science tutor supporting students in Regents-level Earth Science and Living Environment courses. The tutor will push into Science classrooms to help reinforce instruction and close the achievement gap. The position runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:00 AM – 1:05 PM and includes two periods of Earth Science and one period of Living Environment Regents support. When not in the classroom, the tutor will collaborate with teachers to review student data and plan targeted academic support.

Requirements

• Passion for Learning: Committed to supporting academic and personal success, especially for underserved students.
• Strong Academics: Degree-seeking student or graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or a relevant field.
• Committed and Flexible: Available to work 10-35 hours per week at an assigned school and participate in monthly training.
• Collaborative Spirit: Ready to work closely with teachers, school leaders, and fellow tutors to maximize student success.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to develop engaging, personalized learning strategies that help students thrive
• Bridging language gaps to ensure every student has the support they need.
