Science Engagement Intern



YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
Writing and editing news articles for internal website and newsletters
Helping create content including videos, photos, graphics and presentations for use internally
Writing and editing talking points/key messages for employee and stakeholder use
Assembling materials for communication projects/programs
Coordinating and supporting outreach events
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in agriculture, science, communications, or journalism; A combination of the above is a plus
Writing experience including, speeches, newsletters, newspapers, online publications, etc. (Portfolio may be requested.)
Strong writing and listening skills are essential, as is the ability to manage several projects simultaneously within required deadlines
Demonstrated ability to turn complex ideas into simple, relatable messages
The ability to collaborate with colleagues outside of immediate team
College sophomore or above, with emphasis in public relations, journalism, communications and a science or agriculture related emphasis
Students must be returning to their academic program or pursuing an advanced degree following the completion of their internship.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $22.10 to $29.40. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.. This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
