About the position
The Science Composite Teacher is responsible for providing students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. The teacher will enable students to develop competencies and skills necessary to function successfully in society and prepare them to meet and succeed in the STAAR evaluation and measure. This role involves collaboration with other teachers in the preparation of STAAR guided materials and instruction.
Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate learning activities and experiences for students.
- Enable students to develop competencies and skills for societal functioning.
- Prepare students for STAAR evaluation and measure.
- Collaborate with other teachers in preparing STAAR guided materials and instruction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training.
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
- At least one year of student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience.
