About The Position

The Science Bound Program Specialist II at Iowa State University is responsible for developing, promoting, coordinating, and delivering program services and activities aimed at increasing the number of Iowa youth pursuing careers in Agriculture, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (AgSTEM) and education. This role involves collaboration with staff and teachers across multiple school districts and requires travel to these districts to support students and families.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 2 years of related experience.
• Valid driver's license.

• Experience leading, advising, and mentoring students to increase their academic success in AgSTEM fields.
• Experience presenting to small and large groups.
• Experience developing, planning, evaluating, and carrying out events.
• Experience working with teachers.

Responsibilities

• Develop, promote, coordinate, and deliver program services and activities across program districts.
• Serve as the lead and/or co-lead for 1-2 districts.
• Collaborate with Science Bound staff and teachers to support students and families.
• Co-lead 1-2 AgSTEM residential programs during the summer.
• Respond to inquiries and requests related to the program.
