Science and STEM Summer Camp Assistant Teacher
About The Position
We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and talented individuals to work as Assistant Instructors in our Summer STEM programs. Summer seasonal position (4-10 weeks) starting in June In-room with kids ages 6-14 PAID training! No formal experience required Spend the summer with our AMAZING students having fun with STEM & Baking! Black Rocket provides unique educational programs to children and young adults. Our distinct enrichment programs focus on the intersection of creativity and technology. Each course emphasizes self-empowerment, critical thinking, and creative problem solving through hands-on learning. Whether in the classroom or the cloud, we believe every student is unique in their ability and talents. Requirements
- Located within driving distance of one of our partner regions and reliable transportation
- Strong science or baking background with familiarity in experimentation, the scientific method, engineering concepts, creative thinking, and/or baking
- Available to start online training in May prior to the start of summer (train at your own pace via our online portal)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to offer accommodations or work sponsorship.
- Must be available to work a minimum of 4 weeks, Monday through Friday
- Must love working with kids!
- 18 years of age or older
Nice To Haves
- Experience with children in an educational setting preferred but not required
- College students studying education, culinary arts, biology, chemistry, engineering, or other STEM related fields encouraged to apply
- Experience with kids in a formal or informal setting is a plus, such as babysitting, volunteering, coaching, tutoring, etc.
- College students studying education, computer science, digital arts, information technology, or in similar fields are encouraged to apply.
- Those with strong tech or digital arts and troubleshooting skills will be most successful in this position
