About The Position

The School Wide Floater/Administrative Assistant at Lightbridge Academy plays a crucial role in supporting the Center Director and Assistant Director in managing the center's administrative activities. This position ensures the effective operation of the center while maintaining a positive and safe learning environment for children. The Administrative Assistant will also assist in coordinating services and upholding the company's vision and core values.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in education or related field; Bachelor's Degree in education or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of childcare experience, classroom experience preferred.
  • Ability to maintain continuing education requirements per company and state requirements.
  • Ability to proactively coordinate responsibilities to achieve desired outcomes and identify new ideas for business improvement.
  • Ability to react quickly with sound judgment and problem-solving skills in complex situations.

  • Customer service experience (1 year preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Assist management in ensuring effective operation of the center, maintaining licensing safety, and educational standards in accordance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Answer, assist, and direct all incoming telephone calls to appropriate parties in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Receive and direct visitors, vendors, and clients to appropriate locations and parties.
  • Serve as curriculum, gross motor specialist, and classroom support when needed to ensure proper ratios are maintained at all times.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, staff members, and community contacts, serving as a point of contact in the absence of the Center Director and/or Assistant Director.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to parents, assisting during arrival and departure, and addressing questions and concerns promptly.
  • Maintain, secure, and update important administrative records for the center as required by the company and applicable regulations.
  • Perform related clerical work such as typing, filing, and sorting mail distribution.
  • Participate in required trainings and meetings, and travel to off-site trainings as needed.
  • Assume responsibility for the office in the absence of the Center Director and/or Assistant Director.
