About The Position

Provide safe and reliable transportation for students in a school-based setting. This role is responsible for ensuring student safety during transit, maintaining vehicle compliance, and supporting students with diverse learning, social, and behavioral needs. You will play a key role in helping students access their educational programs and activities.

Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record
Experience working with students in school or treatment settings
DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance
Ability to read and follow maps or GPS directions
Must be at least 21 years of age

Nice To Haves

Experience transporting students with special needs
Two-year degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
CPR or First Aid certification

Responsibilities

Safely operate school vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations
Monitor and supervise students during transportation to ensure a safe environment
Follow proper procedures for loading, unloading, and securing students, including wheelchair securement when needed
Complete daily logs including attendance, behavior reports, and fuel tracking
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
Transport students to and from school, appointments, and school-related activities
Run program-related errands such as package deliveries or additional route needs
Utilize GPS or maps to ensure efficient and timely routes
