About STMA Schools We are a district that serves over 6,000 students and employs 725 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12. Position Overview & Responsibilities Responsible for developing and providing specialized, research-based instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities. Also responsible for evaluating and assessing student progress against instructional objectives and following state mandated due process procedures and functions. For more information, please see the job description for this position. Start date : June 8 Schedule: June 8 (Staff day), June 9 - 12, 15 - 18, 22-25; Hours approximately 7:30am-11:30am. FTE : 0.5 Contract : 13 days Location: Albertville Primary (Preschool & Kindergarten) Fieldstone Elementary (grades 1-4) Middle School West (grades 5-12)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in education
  • required teaching certificate in Special Education as required by the State of Minnesota
  • specific content knowledge, training, or job experience required before appointment
  • successful student teaching
