School Social Worker
About The Position
Ampersand Therapy is hiring dedicated a School Social Worker for the 2025–2026 school year in Mount Prospect, IL. Position Details Schedule: Full-Time, 7:30 am - 3:00 pm Location: Lincoln Middle School, Mount Prospect Start Date: As soon as possible Setting: Middle School Caseload: To be discussed in interview
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Valid Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License) with Social Work endorsement
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in school settings or with special education is a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong asset, but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect support services to students
- Participate in IEP development and fulfill service minutes
- Attend and contribute to IEP and staff meetings
- Collaborate with special education and general education teams
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
