About The Position

The Site-Based Social Worker is responsible for providing direct social work services to students and their families within the William S. Hart Union High School District.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Social Work or related field
• A valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential with a School Social Worker Authorization
• At least two years of experience working as a school social worker or in a related field
• Knowledge of evidence-based social work practices and intervention strategies
• Ability to work collaboratively with school personnel, parents, and community agencies
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of laws and regulations related to student services, special education, and child welfare

Responsibilities

• Conducting individual and group counseling sessions for students
• Assessing and addressing the social and emotional needs of students
• Developing and implementing intervention plans for students experiencing academic, social, or emotional difficulties
• Collaborating with school personnel, parents, and community agencies to provide comprehensive support for students and families
• Providing crisis intervention services as needed
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all services provided
• Participating in professional development and staff meetings as required
• Performing other duties as assigned by the District Social Work Coordinator
