About The Position
Heartland AEA has a full-time School Social Worker position available for the 2025-26 school year, based in the Johnston regional office, serving students in the West Des Moines school district. This position will have a 192-day contract and will provide services for the identification, evaluation, and educational programming of children. Candidates should be able to provide services that assist parents and professionals in meeting the educational and social/emotional/behavioral and mental health needs of children and youth. The position will include Child Find responsibilities within an MTSS model.

- appropriately licensed/certified by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners (or have the ability to obtain a license)
- possess a master's degree in social work at the minimum
