About The Position

Our Organization is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join an elementary school team in Illinois for the 2025–2026 academic year. This part-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting their emotional, behavioral, and social development within a collaborative school environment. In this role, you will play an essential part in supporting students’ overall well-being by addressing the social, emotional, and behavioral factors that influence their success in school. The School Social Worker acts as a key connector—collaborating with families, educators, and school leadership to ensure that every student has access to the tools and supports they need to thrive. Your daily work will involve offering both individual and small-group support to help students build emotional regulation skills, strengthen peer relationships, and navigate personal or academic challenges. You will conduct social-emotional assessments, interpret findings, and provide meaningful input that informs student support plans. Working with a multidisciplinary team, you’ll help design and implement strategies that reinforce positive behavior, enhance classroom engagement, and promote student growth. You’ll take part in problem-solving meetings, contribute to IEP development, and provide insights for creating effective behavior intervention plans when needed. Accurate documentation, timely progress monitoring, and adherence to school and state requirements are key parts of the position. You will also help connect families with community agencies and outside resources, ensuring students receive consistent support both inside and outside the school environment.
