About The Position

Working as an interdisciplinary member of the Educational Support Services team along with other school personnel, the school social worker employs the professional skills of social work to assist students, their families and faculty. Social Work services including primary prevention and secondary intervention programs are designed to enhance students' self-esteem, social-emotional adjustment, interpersonal skills development and their ability to succeed within the instructional program. School social work provides linkage, coordination and case management services for students and families with collaborative agency and community resource networks.

Responsibilities

• Assist students, families, and faculty as part of the Educational Support Services team.
• Employ professional social work skills to enhance students' self-esteem and social-emotional adjustment.
• Develop and implement primary prevention and secondary intervention programs.
• Facilitate interpersonal skills development among students.
• Provide case management services for students and families.
• Coordinate with community resource networks and agencies.
