About The Position

Learn Academy is looking for a School Site Administrator for our site in San Gabriel, CA. Beach Cities Learning/Learn Academy, a Learn It Family of Companies division, is a certified K -12 Private Day School approved by the California Department of Education to provide Special Education Services for various disability categories. The Site Administrator will work in a school-based setting and is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students can fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth. This person is responsible for organizing and implementing an individual instructional program that will result in students achieving academic success in accordance with policies.

Requirements

• Master Degree or enrollment in a Master program preferred.
• Experience as an educator in a population similar to the students of Beach Cities Learning.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train and motivate others.
• Good oral, written, interpersonal and organizational communication skills.
• Ability to work with people of diverse populations and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise a high degree of independence, initiative, tact and good judgment.
• Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information.

Nice To Haves

• Current California 'IVP' DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Safety Care Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with overseeing and being part of a private special education day school team.
• Support a team of Clinical Supervisors, Special Education Teachers, and Behavior Technicians.
• Provide oversight to clinical program implementation, classroom management, curriculum and instructional practices.
• Ensure compliance with all Special Education policies and procedures.
• Consult with staff and district personnel.
• Manage enrollment and reintegration activities.
• Provide professional development activities for employees.
• Communicate effectively with parents and all clientele.
• Oversee online programs and collaborate with vocation coordinators.
• Support with Waves incentive planning.
