About The Position

This is a non-paid School Safety Guardian Class held by the Lake County Sheriff's Office and Lake County Schools. This class will certify applicants upon successful completion to be a Florida School Safety Guardian. This does not guarantee employment. Prior Military, Prior Law Enforcement and/or Private Security Experience is required. Must have a FL Concealed Weapons Permit and experience with fire arms. If accepted into the class, you will be subjected to a drug test, criminal background check, and a psychological evaluation, all of which will be conducted through the Lake County Sheriff's Office. Starting salary for new or returning hires is commensurate with relevant education and experience.
