About The Position

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Administers standardized and supplemental assessments to measure students' development and determine eligibility for services.
  • Assesses students' functional capabilities and environments to develop recommendations and placements.
  • Chairs the Child Study Team to facilitate discussions and decisions regarding student needs.
  • Collaborates with staff to prevent and manage crises and other situations affecting students.
  • Communicates with students, parents, and staff to evaluate situations and resolve conflicts.
  • Compiles information from various sources to produce comprehensive evaluation reports.
  • Consults with teachers, parents, and outside professionals to develop service plans and recommendations.
  • Coordinates with community agencies to determine appropriate treatments for students.
  • Counsels students and parents to enhance student success in school.
  • Develops behavior intervention plans and curriculum modifications for treatment programs.
  • Facilitates meetings to ensure compliance with curriculum guidelines and state mandates.
  • Implements and evaluates school-wide programs to assist children with difficulties.
  • Interprets data to assist school teams in decision-making processes.
  • Intervenes in inappropriate student behavior to help develop interpersonal skills.
  • Participates in meetings, workshops, and seminars to gather and convey information.
  • Prepares a variety of written materials to document activities and convey information.
  • Researches resources and methods to address students' functional goals.
  • Supervises interns and practicum students to monitor performance and support professional growth.
