About The Position
The Amergis Educational Services Team is seeking to hire on-site School Psychologists for the 2024-25 School Year and beyond. This position is located in schools across Sarasota, North Port, and surrounding areas. The role offers a competitive pay rate of $70 per hour, with weekly pay and full benefits including health, vision, dental, 401K, and various discounts. The position is full-time and requires a licensed School Psychologist in the state of Florida, along with a Master's Degree. The School Psychologist will work directly with students to support their mental health and developmental needs, aiding in the qualification for additional support services. Responsibilities include providing on-site psychological services, conducting multi-factored evaluations, and participating in ongoing training related to job duties. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours that vary based on the grade level of the students, covering elementary, middle, and high school. Importantly, there are no weekend or holiday work requirements. This position is designed to last for the full school year, with a strong possibility of extending the contract or transitioning to an internal position in the following year. The School Psychologist will be responsible for a variety of essential duties, including conducting psycho-educational assessments, consulting with students, parents, and teachers, and developing intervention plans to support student learning and behavior. The role also involves maintaining confidentiality and adhering to state regulations regarding psychological evaluations and student support services.
