The school psychologist will conduct psychological evaluations to assess the intellectual, educational, emotional, social, and behavioral characteristics of students. They will implement strategies to address educational, behavioral, or developmental issues and evaluate performance to assess growth. The role involves collaboration with educators and families to address student learning and behavioral problems, as well as consulting with other school-based personnel. Responsibilities include providing counseling, crisis intervention, and developing school-based interventions, while assessing the need for special services.

  • Deliver a planned and coordinated program of psychological services
  • Plan and deliver effective instruction that integrates technology and engages students
  • Provide mental health and behavioral interventions to support teaching and maximize learning
  • Identify and assess learning, development, and adjustment characteristics of individuals and groups
  • Utilize assessment data to develop appropriate interventions and programs
  • Provide recommendations and modifications for special education students
  • Function as a member of IEP or Section 504 teams for eligibility and programming
  • Provide collaborative consultation and documentation of results
  • Provide direct services through classroom presentations and co-teaching
  • Consult with parents, teachers, administrators, and community agencies
  • Maintain appropriate data on students to document performance levels
  • Create a secure and inviting learning atmosphere
  • Apply ethics and standards of professional practice
  • Re-evaluate to determine progress and effectiveness of therapy
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by district leadership
  • Master's degree in psychology or related field
  • Department of Public Instruction license #62
  • Wisconsin School Psychologist #7062
  • CPR certification or ability to obtain it
  • 1+ years of experience preferred
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and billing software
  • Strong communication skills and ability to listen
  • Accurate problem solving, organization, attention to detail, and math skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers
  • Ability to work as a collaborative team member
