Reporting to the Coordinator of Student Services, the School Psychologist will provide psycho educational and diagnostic services for students in the AVRCE. The School Psychologist will be a member of a team working together to develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive program plans for these students. The School Psychologist will provide specific services in such areas as: Psycho-educational, social, emotional and behavioral assessments; Facilitate transition plans for students; Support the inclusion of students with challenging academic, behavioral, social-emotional and mental health needs for grades P-12; Facilitate professional development for AVRCE staff; Support staff to address children and youth with chronic school refusal; Participate in a multidisciplinary team on variety of projects relevant to student(s) mental health, including liaison with outside agencies and professionals; Support program planning for students with academic, behavioral, social-emotional and mental health needs including adaptations and individual program planning (IPP) procedures.
