Join the Cross Country Education team as a School Psychologist and serve as a vital cornerstone of student success. Use your specialized training to lead IEP teams, facilitate social-emotional breakthroughs, and empower educators with the tools to help every elementary student thrive this school year! Position Overview: Conduct psychological assessments and triennial re-evaluations for elementary-aged students to determine eligibility for special education services and inform instructional needs. Develop and implement Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), providing direct support to students to promote social-emotional growth. Consult with teachers, parents, and administration as a core member of the IEP team to integrate psychological findings into actionable educational strategies. Provide short-term individual or group counseling and crisis intervention services to support the mental health and safety of the student population.

Requirements

  • Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) or Master’s Degree in School Psychology (Required)
  • Valid Special Services Provider (SSP) License issued by the Department of Education
  • Prior experience working directly within a classroom setting, demonstrating a deep understanding of school-based dynamics
  • Strong background in child development with the ability to manage a diverse elementary caseload (approx. 1:50)
