About The Position

The anticipated position of School Psychologist is set to begin on August 18, 2025, at the High School/Middle School level. The role involves providing essential psychological services to students, staff, and parents, ensuring that the educational environment is supportive and conducive to learning.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in school psychology
  • Valid Ohio educational certificate/license to practice as a school psychologist
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screenings
  • Such alternative or additional qualifications as the Board may find appropriate, or acceptable

Responsibilities

  • Conducts evaluations of students identified or thought to have a disability.
  • Participates in the creation and discussion of the evaluation team report.
  • Provides staff, students, and parents with resources such as mental health activities and referrals to outside agencies.
  • Maintains student records and progress reports and shares the records with the appropriate staff.
  • Provides counseling to parents and students.
  • Effectively communicates student progress and issues to parents.
  • Consults with District administrators to create educational evaluations and accountability procedures.
  • Assists staff in modifying instructional and intervention strategies to meet the needs of all students.
  • Reports instances of suspected child abuse and/or neglect to law enforcement.
  • Participates in professional growth activities.
  • Complies with all District policies and procedures.
  • Performs other functions as assigned.
