The school psychologist promotes sound educational practices for all students by serving their mental health and academic needs. The major role of the school psychologist is the intensive study of students suspected or identified as having educational disabilities and facilitating the delivery of services to these students, their parents, and the educational staff. The School Psychologist's role may include various functions such as coordinating and contributing to multi-factored evaluations, interpreting evaluation data, and facilitating the development of individualized educational programs (IEPs).
